What Type of Therapy Service Do I Need?

That can depend on the concerns you initially share, as well as new insights that emerge along the way. My mission is to help people design well-being in all aspects of life. Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you have been in therapy before, I am here to support healing, balance, and joy in daily living.

My clinical style is interactive, supportive, and respectfully challenging. I use an integrative approach, drawing from different therapeutic perspectives to match care to your unique concerns, goals, and preferences.

The following service area summaries may help guide what you ask for. During your first appointment or two, we will get to know each other, explore your story and the concerns that led you to seek services, complete initial paperwork, and develop a supportive plan tailored to your therapy goals.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a focused opportunity to explore the challenges, concerns, and patterns affecting your daily life. It can help you develop greater understanding and insight into personal, relational, and emotional experiences.

Sessions are client-centered and may include a variety of therapeutic approaches to support growth, healing, reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress, and strengthen healthier adaptation.

Couples/Marital Counseling

Couples counseling is designed to support healthier communication, deeper connection, and more positive patterns between partners. Tension, conflict, distance, and life stressors can interfere with the long-term love relationship.

My approach may include Intimacy Therapy, which helps couples strengthen respect and love through self-awareness, communication, conflict work, and emotional and affectionate connection. Spiritual reflection may also be included when requested by the couple.

Ask about Relationship/ Marriage Intensives - a focused weekend retreat designed to help couples slow down, reconnect, and begin moving forward with greater clarity and intention.

Family Counseling

Family counseling provides a supportive space to explore relationship patterns, communication challenges, conflict, and emotional distance within the family system. The goal is to help family members better understand one another, repair strained connections, and strengthen healthier ways of relating.

A family systems approach is often used to examine how each person’s roles, boundaries, reactions, and relationships influence the family as a whole. Sessions may also draw from principles used in couples therapy to support trust, connection, and meaningful change.

Group Therapy

Group sessions can be a powerful and dynamic way to share, learn, and receive support from others with similar concerns. Many of us encounter group dynamics every day—in families, work settings, schools, faith communities, and other organized activities.

Group therapy offers a supportive place to share experiences, increase understanding, and learn with others. Members often discover that they are not alone in what they are facing. A cohesive group can also help members build a sense of belonging, acceptance, and shared growth.

*Groups are formed when several clients desire support beyond individual therapy and share common concerns where group interaction would be beneficial. Please inquire about current or future group opportunities that may fit your needs.

Mind & Body Therapy

Therapy is more than talking; it can also support a healthier and more balanced way of living.

Mind-body therapy recognizes that emotional, physical, and relational well-being are deeply connected. Depending on your needs and preferences, sessions may include approaches such as mindfulness, guided imagery, movement, breathing exercises, or reflection on lifestyle patterns that affect well-being.

Research increasingly supports exercise and movement as meaningful additions to care for depression, anxiety, and other stress-related concerns. For many people, combining therapy with regular movement may improve mood, stress regulation, energy, and overall well-being.

*Seasonally, “walk and talk” sessions may be available for clients who would benefit from movement and reflection as part of the therapeutic process.

Therapy On The Greens

Therapy on the Greens is a unique coaching and consultation experience for individuals who enjoy the reflective setting of a golf course. For some clients, the pace, movement, and open environment of golf create space for meaningful conversation, insight, and personal reflection.

Although the name includes “therapy,” this service is most often used by Positive Design Coaching clients rather than traditional psychotherapy clients. The focus may include leadership, performance, life balance, personal growth, or strategic reflection.

For athletes, executives, educators, entertainers, and other high performers, the golf course can provide a unique environment for exploring challenges related to focus, resilience, decision-making, relationships, and sustained excellence. The combination of movement, reflection, and conversation often creates opportunities for insight that differ from traditional office-based settings.

*Please inquire to learn more about scheduling an individual or small-group session.
